There will also be a dozen dresses displayed on dress forms plus sketches of artists' process on view in a small gallery at GALA, 25 Exchange St., Lynn, MA.
A portion of the funds raised will support Long Way Home, an organization operating in the Western Highlands of Guatemala that uses sustainable construction and education to mobilize people to actively participate in democracy. To date, the Rubbish to Runway Refashion Shows have raised over $75,000. Those funds helped to build an eco-designed campus for a K-11 school in San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala.
